If 2020 taught us anything it taught all of us the world of working remotely. The digital world provided us all with the tools we needed to work from the comfort of our own homes and do it successfully.

Along with these new ways of working started a new trend in the interior design industry. E-DESIGN! That’s right, working with a designer remotely to create the space of your dreams. E-design is perfect for clients who want design direction and designer expertise, but don’t mind doing a little legwork to prepare, manage, and implement the project themselves. If you like to DIY (do-it-yourself), than this is definitely the design service for you.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

The process does require a bit of work from the client at first but the process is pretty simple. First is the GATHER stage: you fill out a questionnaire and provide the required info I need to execute the design. Included in this questionnaire are key items such as places you prefer to shop for home decor & furnishings; colors you are drawn to and likewise not drawn to; lifestyle…etc. At this time I also need to gather dimensions of the space to be able to accurately detail it out and make sure all design components fit in the space accurately. 

After all the details are gathered comes the DESIGN stage. This is where I put the design together. I draw out the space, put the color pallet together and begin “shopping” for all pieces required for the project. Once “shopping” is completed I plug everything into the floor plan and make sure all components fit into the required space. Along with the detailed floor plan I put together a mood board that puts all elements together visually for the client as well as a comprehensive shopping list with appropriate links to all items.

Once all my work is done you will receive a package with all this included: detailed floor plan with furniture placement of the space, mood board of all elements and a detailed shopping list. Lastly, is the final stage int he process. you have received all selections and now you get to IMPLEMENT the design! The beauty of this is that you get to do it at your own pace and as your budget allows!
